I went out shooting in the neighborhood the other day and ran into the well-dressed mister above. He was an absolute pleasure to shoot…running inside to grab his hat, introducing me to his wife and chatting about his current exhibit at the NYU Kimmel Center, “Stars of Ethiopia: Photographs by Chester Higgins Jr.”
Chester is a New York Times photographer and his work is in the permanent collection at MoMA. I am so grateful for his patience and kindness. This shot is one of my first, and will remain a favorite.
